Anne’s watercolours depict our Canadian seasons and  each captures the summer greens, autumn’s riot of colours, the winter’s sculptural snowscapes and the stark bareness of naked trees. When Anne studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts her teacher told the class not to paint the Rockies, but instead was instructed to find your own special piece of landscape and this is when Anne formed her love of the rugged nature of rocks, rivers and trees.

“I feel the beauty of our majestic trees both singularly with their twists and knots, to the vast forests.  My inspiration comes  from the abstraction from nature; palettes of soft  blues, and greens to brilliant reds, of maples.”

Anne is a member of The Almonte and Area Artists Association and has exhibited at the Mill of Kintail museum, and MERA where she is a member.
